Sunny Sydney Stopover
June 2007, by Gini
And so it begins... The BIG OE.
It all started a bit dazed and confused on the morning of the thirtieth. We had spent the whole night before madly packing and didn't get to bed until 1am. In time for 2 hours sleep before we headed to the airport for the early flight out of New Zealand. First stop was Sydney to visit Brother and Leece in their new pad. Sydney turned on the stunning weather which was a great change from Rainy Wellington.
We did lots of exploring by foot in the sun, around The Rocks market, Opera House, Botanical Gardens, Darling Harbour and just a few of the lovely beaches: Bondi, Coogee and Manly. It was a little on the cool side for swimming but it was still stunning.
Lauren even made an appearance from London and met Tom for the first time. It was just great hanging out and relaxing with wine and beer after the stress of leaving New Zealand.
