Girls loved the ramps at Waitangi skate park on a stunning still winter morning. The littlelies loved running up and down too. Kept them all amused for over an hour! Will be going back with iris's bike! |

The usual spot before I open the door so they have to tumble and roll through the entrance. It seems to never get old... For some. These two are having a lot more fun playing simple games together, which is so rewarding to see. Olive helps out a little with Iris by helping her wash her hands and helping with shoes and the fact that Iris will find oli and ask for her help is awesome. Just a lovely bond growing. |

The kids are getting excited about our ski trip with cuzzy lachie, a bit better prepared this time with goggles, suits and snow boots! Hope Iris enjoys it this time, who knows maybe skis for oli?.... Hmm |
We joined Anthony and Lana at the show of mister maker. Olive enjoyed it so much that she performed her own puppet show of it at home. It was fun having Freya along for the adventure too. |

We got to ohakune late afternoon and explored the new walkway through the forest and river into town, would be great for scooters. Mountain is looking delish. |

Mummy however got wet (not wearing ski gear) Lachie and Paul jumped out for a short explore too. We took a short forest walk before warming up with a hot drink at a cafe. I have a new appreciation for Ohakune, I loved how excited Olive was so we will return. |

A stop off at the army museum on our way home. Olive had lots of questions about war that I'm not ready to talk to her about. How to explain that humans can be nasty to each other, as I can already tell what she will say, but why? Very good question. "why do they have guns?" What's the mask for?" Why did they put all the kids in tents?" Lachie stated "only baddies have guns" it is interesting how kids interpret war and Iris just pulled us around everywhere... |

We skipped a year to Disney on ice last year (don't want it to become an expectation!) and this year we had a cuzzie along! Lachie was locked onto everything, as was Olive. She knew all the characters and the falling snow was magical. |

Barbie bungy created by me (nearly 30 years ago) nice to see Olive doing really well at leading the pack and prescribing turn taking, both the big kids including Iris in the game was great too. |
First cuzzie sleepover! I had three kids in my own! Olive was running around saying "I'm princess jasmine" with Lachie chasing saying "and I'm a baddie" they all got on so well which was great to see. The best surprise was bedtime. They were great, not a peep, Olive was super excited to have Lachie on her pull out bed. But confused early this morning when he was gone. She wanted him to come back to bed. Maybe soon the girls can bunk up. |
