It's lucky we have a tolerant dog at the moment.

Enjoyed the sunshine at the park. Loved meeting the park cat and wearing in her new shoes by walking all the way to the park. After many failed attempts at the steps leading to the big slide (decided climbing the bank was a much more direct route) followed by "no no no" when mama helped. We slid solo after a few "hands hands" first with mama.

We are back into climbing out the dog/ olive flap. She only came back inside for "pop pop" (popcorn) and then I found her sitting quietly with sidekick Lyon (or scabber) munching on her snack enjoying the great outdoors. I think we have outdoors kid on our hands, every chance she gets, she is out there.

After the best flight you could ask for (got an extra seat for olive) with an 18month old we arrived in Melbourne to see our cousins. We surprised Ali at play group and had a run in the sun at a park nearby. Olive and baby Lachie played with locks too.

Our second day in Melbourne and met some furry feathered friends at Collingwood farm. Olive had no fear by going up and patting all the animals and pointing at eyes. Loved the chickens the most.

Lovely walk up Mt Kaukau with the Foo's to try out our new baby backpack. All went well until Lyon embarrassed us by rolling in a cow pat.

Even though Olive hasn't been very well this past week she still looks after her soft toys. Womble wanted water on a walk, the whale seesaw likes gingerbread men, Lyon has to eat fabric leaves as well. Such a kind and caring wee poppet.

"Help, help."

Curtain peekaboo!
|
We are starting to wonder if Olive can recognise colours now. She is also saying two when she picks up two things. A genius in our eyes!
|
What is with the half eaten gingerbread men Olive? Yesterday at play centre was the first time she was happy sitting without mummy for morning tea, so proud.
