Today at kpc we drew around ourselves and found our body parts, we even got Iris lying down to do it. Olive helped and later enjoyed our homemade pumpkin hummus with carrots & potatoes for dipping and enjoyed making ice creams from paper and cakes with feathers. |

Just in the last week or so iris's language has changed. She will try and repeat the word, common words are, duckie, birdie, doggie, cat, bear, book, mummy & daddy, monkey (her favourite toy) and olaf (olive) Iris points to a seat if she wants you to sit down and has started grabbing a finger to pull you with her. Water play is her favourite past time and painting anything. She has started trying basic shape puzzles and loves containers and lids. |

A well earned coffee break after a stressful week of work, ending with my computer's video card stopped working, just before deadline! Luckily it is covered under apple. It makes you realize how important backups are! Tom, you are a legend. |
We had the Rodgers over for our first bbq of the season on the re-homed Lana & Nige's Webber. A bit windy but the sun did make an appearance. Freya & Olive had a ball, closing the bedroom door and only appearing for dessert. Iris & Scarlett pottered around happily too. |

A lovely sunny day, a great day for water play at kpc. Olive made a angel from pegs and fabric and got involved in the volcano and making potions in the mud puddle. Iris enjoyed the water so much so climbed in! At the end olive dressed up as an elephant, packed a suitcase and was off to Auckland! |

After PC volcanoes we decided to make one of our own at home. Iris was more interested this time, as was olive, potion and mixing came after. I managed to prepare dinner while they were busy eating afternoon tea together on the deck chairs and the sandpit fun. Can't 100% trust Iris with the edge but she has been pretty good so far. |

Colour mixing fun. This was a great way of slowly seeing the red mix into the blue and change colour, olive was quite excited about it. Iris just enjoyed copying olive and drinking it. |

Kindy drop offs are an interesting affair, with Iris bee lining for the paints and painting sometimes paper but usually the floor, shoes, hair... just about anything, then comes the taps and water, followed by a tantrum about leaving. But it is lovely to see the girls doing little things like this, olive has been reading stories to Iris and trying to teach words. |
