At last the beach! I can feel summer in my wings! Olive pulled off shoes & socks the first opportunity she got and we had fun collecting things for our crab castle (daddy found it) Iris was 'so busy' exploring on her own with a few complaints after getting sand in her fingers. She was so interested in the crab she pulled it's shell off. (But easily fixed) even managed to start the vege patch today! |

Iris flying solo at Playcentre without olive! First session and Iris was off but mostly getting wet at the taps (three changes and then we started borrowing!) she did pull (she did move the wagon) Eden and Elise too and managed climbing the mount by herself. |

Bike day at kpc. Iris borrowed a bike and has started to sit and go backwards lately, but generally likes walking with it between her legs. We are also a bit of a runner and doesn't look back! It would seem mummy's tactics can't be reused for no 2. |

A stunning long weekend spent relaxing with family. It feels like we haven't relaxed for ages! A lunch with great Aunty Jenny & Colin, & Aunty Lauren with relaxing in the afternoon. Next day we enjoyed days bay with pizza, nan & grandad on the beach and were impressed by olive's confidence as she picked up a dead crab! Gave it a sandy bed, and had lots of fun in the water. Iris loved the water as well, a complete change of clothes for both, it was warm enough to swim after all! |

Just stumbled across this photo of our fur child. He doesn't just much a look in these days, but Lyon is a very family friendly chap especially with Iris taking an active interest in him which at times are lovely and other times not so, you can see why Lyon is weary of children. But I can see how much fun they all have and will have. |
At the last minute we booked 4 tickets to kiwi moon at Hannah playhouse for poppy & olive. Some heavy themes which probably went over their heads and some questions after about the fire and the kiwi in the moon but lots of giggles and laugher about the huhu grubs and the white kiwi dancing and singing. Thanks nan for minding Iris for the first time! It all went well! |
Aunty Lauren had a quick visit to Wellington! Lovely dinners and chatting, olive was super excited even though her cousins weren't coming. Iris charmed with her smiles. |
