After giving it a miss for a few weeks, Olive was excited to go to little dribblers today. She even took part in all the warm ups but wasn't so keen on the game - preferring to have a rest on the sideline and watch. Got her strip today too (but didn't want to take her skirt off). Baby steps!

Had a lovely birthday which started with a squash game with Tom (came out of my 21 years of retirement) cake & tea at Louis Sergeant sweet couture, the best sushi for lunch, A few hours of mad work, bathed my babies and a lovely dinner out with my husband. Could not have asked for more.

We woke up to a sickly child this morning. Poor thing must have been vomiting half the night if the state of her bed was anything to go by. Our busy day of decorating a Christmas tree, going to a magic show and a Christmas lunch at Granny and Poppas turned into a day of rest. Hopefully it is just a non contagious 24 hour thing.

A lovely afternoon for the inaugural Hutt Boys Christmas party. Gini rested up at home with Iris while Olive and I headed up north to Sarah and Rory's. Olive took her time getting into things but loved the trampoline and another visit from Santa (Dan). So nice seeing everyone together and the new additions.

We drip fed the presents at the mount. This was puppets, planes and a giraffe from Nan and Grandad! Olive took her parrot Rio with her everywhere.

We did our annual walk around the Mount with Iris asleep in the front pack and lady olive in the buggy. She eventually got out and walked a quarter of the way all for a yummy smoothie reward.

Hilda didn't do a very good job of keeping the lawn short while we were away.

Gotch we have had so many lovely gifts. Might have to put some away for a later date. The best present from my perspective is having family here for a holiday and watching the kids all get along in different ways. I feel olive has changed so much over this past week, I can't pinpoint it but her humor has evolved and she is really playing games with Ali and understanding more. We are so lucky. Can't wait to see the Prosser cousins tomorrow too!

After a day of recovery from our Turner holiday, we reunited for a casual la fresco dining - burger style. The kids loved seeing each other again and the paddling pool was a hit. Geeze it was hot today! Over 30 degrees.
