Olive went from slowly learning training wheels on her 16" 4th birthday bike, to borrowing Anthony's old balance bike to get her used to balancing to buying a $49 12" bike from K-Mart and putting the peddling and balancing together. Two tries with Daddy running behind her and now she's away and laughing (literally!). So proud of our little bike rider and Mummies perseverance getting her into it.

We have been giving "Olive a fright" a lot lately. Hide and Seek has been great evening fun with Daddy hiding and Olive, Mama and Lyon going to find him (Lyon usually gives it away first) and then Daddy gives Olive a fun fright by jumping out when she has found him. Olive wanting to play games like 'chase' around the coffee table 'horse' ride on mummy's back (not a popular choice by mummy) and 'ball' with 'eyon' (it has taken Olive a very long time to use Lyon's name) We can see how much fun these two are going to have. Just need to work on Lyon listening to Olive!

This conversation was taken after Uncle Dave had finished for the day (building our study nook). Aunty Jen, Cousin Alex and Violet came for a play too. Olive kept pointing at the wall and saying 'noise, noise' (it was very noisy) and then 'Dave, Dave' she would also point at the timber which held up our wall (which is now gone) and say 'Dave'. 'Tools'. 'Noise'. So now Dave is the noisy one in the family - fits doesn't it.
